I've been hyped for this game since i knew it was "coming out // in developement" but now... what?! I love Descent, because reminds me of my childhood, i loved this game when i was 10 y.o and sicne then, so makes me soooo sad this looks as cancelled as it looks...

Its technicly not canceled but according to the devs (the studio doesnt exist anymore), the game is feature complete but is being held back over some legal and IP struggle with the publisher little orbit. That is the situation since 10 months. So it seems the chances of this ever seeing the light of day are slim.

The person who has been the main source of information that I could find going back to at least May of 2019 mentioned that an agreement has been reached and they are looking at a potential release date in the coming new year. No source was given for this though. See here[www.descentbb.net] for where I found this (see the post dated September 10th) Also, for anyone who was unaware of the situation, the discord conversation quoted in the first post at that link is a pretty good summary of what has been known regarding what's been going on for the last 6-10 months.

Well i bought Overload and it's more or less what i was expecting, maybe the graphics coudl be a bit better but hey, i still love it

I spent around $ 100 and was following the project closely in the early and mid phase. They added more and more ships for a game that never asked for that and here and there a new weapon and a small map to try out but I never saw something substantial. I was not very pleased to see all those fun video streams of the devs wasting their and my time and the whole appearance of the project never stroke me as very serious. But I always hoped they would get more sponsors and finally add more real content like a proper single player campaign with a big and cool world to explore and many more high quality maps for MP which never happened. And now I read about trouble with publishing the title and the game seems to have disappeared on the web. I also don't believe the game is finished when it comes about content. And all this happened while quietly and secretly Overload was made and published presenting now imho the much better Descent experience than Underground ever did. As a big Descent fan I am very disappointed in the team but I feel confirmed again about my judgement of people. Publisher trouble blabla the whole thing in my opinion is due to bad planning and incompetence. I am not overly mad though because they really didn't have much money to make something big here. I just don't like the pretending - plus I certainly could have done something better with my §100.

it's been a year now. You can no longer see Descent Underground. Not even a small contribution. It seems to me that the money has been sacked in and out of here.
But something was developed! Just call it e.g. tunnel flight or tunnel fight, but finally bring the game to the market!
