Changing In Game Language

Language in The Mean Greens is determined by your operating system. You can change it manually by adding the launch parameter to the game.

To do so open your Steam Library and right click on The Mean Greens.
Click PROPERTIES.
Under the General tab click on SET LAUNCH OPTIONS...
Paste in the code above changing the language code and click OK.

en = English
es = Spanish
fr = French
de = German
ja = Japanese
ko = Korean
it = Italian
ru = Russian
zh-Hans - Simplified Chinese
pt - Portuguese

The French translation is beyond broken. I'm not joking, it's even worse than a Google Translate.

Took me some time to understand, but it looks (badly) man-made. "Off" in English is translated to "de" in French. Which would be the translation for "of". Lots of words since to be translated from removing or misreading a letter in the English version. Either a human ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up, or somebody ran a very bad OCR program on the game menus.

yeah, not sure how the translations got so messed up (needless to say we're no longer using the company that did them originally).

We have had some naturally speaking people come forward and help translate the game properly, and quite a few of the updates will be released in this next patch. We haven't had anyone offer to do French yet. We would like to update every language, but it's hard to do with zero budget. :) (one of the joys of working indie hehe)

You can set the game language to English by adding -locale=en to your game console command options.

Thanks for the post, it's good to know. Also I couldn't help but notice that the updates have several new strings in spanish. If you want to send me the updated version I'll translate them too
