I get the same problems at 1400x900 at "good" as I do at 720x480 at "fastest"
MINIMUM:
OS: OSX 10.11 or higher
Processor: Intel i5-3470 3.2Ghz
Memory: 8 GB RAM
Graphics: GeForce 675MX / AMD Radeon R9 M380
Storage: 9 GB available space
Wrong.
The game hits an average of 40fps on 1080p with Beatiful settings and Vsync enabled (not 1/2 Vsync) but the framerate is very inconsistent with dips in the 30's pretty often.
I captured my framerate with Count It during a minute and a half in the starting area and I uploaded my results.
Inb4 people saying "buy a PC", the Mac Pro is no high end gaming machine but it's way powerful enough to run this kind of graphics at 60fps.

Currently downloading on Bootcamp to check how it performs under Windows.
This Mac runs games like Mad Max at 60fps but Yooka-Laylee is on 40 on average with not even the highest graphics settings. There's a HUGE performance issue in this game.
You can think of it as how an i5 processor from last year may still outperform an i3 that was released this year.
Edit for clarity: as a general rule of thumb for nvidia's geforce stuff the last two digits are the tier of card at the time of release while the one(s) coming before it are akin to what series it is in. EX: a 750 is intended to be an upgrade to the 650 filling basically the same role. If you were to try to upgrade a 680 (a ~$250-300 high end card) with a 730 (a ~$70 low end card) you would see a massive performance drop.
My apologies for the delay in responding to your thread.
So that I may assist anyone who is experiencing issues further, could you please provide your system information. *Instructions on how to obtain and send your system information can be found here.
ChaosUnown and PattyCake69,
It does appear that you are both under the minimum requirements for this game as w00se previously stated.
If you are able to run the game, I'd like to suggest you run it at a low graphical setting in order to give you the best chance at completing the game.
O'Rayan,
I've merged your thread with this one as you appear to be experiencing a similar issue and also have replied in this thread as well. So that I may assist you further, could you please respond with the following information:
- At what points in particular does the game's performance appear to drop
- A video of the issue in question (I understand this may be a pain to do, but it would be greatly appreciated. If you are able to get a framerate counter within your recording that would also be of great help)
- Whether the game crashes at any point
- Whether it has prevented you from completing the game or any challenges
My apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused to anyone experiencing this issue.Thank you,
