Weird "voice acting"
Can someone explain to me why they went with grunts as "voice acting" instead of letting the characters speak their lines like us humans do? Was it really too much asked from Playtonic to give us an option to choose between the grunts or regular voice acting?

This. It's a stylistic choice returning from the Banjo-Kazooie series the 8-10 returning devs were known for.

So basically their forcing things of old back onto us instead of getting with the times. Got it.

What are "the times?" Does EVERY game have to have a voice acting budget? It's literally just a stylistic choice, like the King having a record scratching effect in katamari damacy. No one's forcing anything on you.

They aren't forcing this on you though, you can turn it off in the options menu and, maybe, you should inform yourself next time before blindly buying a game.

Yeah cause why would they give me an option to switch to modern day voice acting right 😂? Also I didn't buy this game so maybe your the one who should inform themselves before you start claiming that I'm uninformed.

If they have the budget to get the actors into the studio to begin with then they should have more than enough money to get those actors to speak English as well.

The "Actors" were the devs, just coming in to do the voice motifs. Is this... is this a major problem for you? A game not having voice acting? Need your Tom Kenny, Chris Sabat, and John Dimaggio fix?

Because this isn't the style of this game? IT's their design choice?
Have you played Banjo-Kazooie? It's the same style.

Then why the ♥♥♥♥ are you even here complaining about this?
Just play the games you actually own.
why the ♥♥♥♥ would they ruin the theme and atmosphere with voice acting.. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥

I love the weird jibberish noises, but they defenitly sound more out of place compared to Banjo-Kazooie since the audio quality is much higher. Some of them don't "flow" well, if that makes much sense. If they ever make a sequel, I think something akin to the way "voice acting" was handled in Rayman 2 would be a better choice.

Full voice acting was a rarity in the Banjo kazooie era. Nowadays however that ain't the case anymore so they have no excuse not to add it in.

But you still haven't answered my question. Why is NOT having full voice acting in every video game a serious problem? Undertale Doesn't Have it. Katamari Damacy Doesn't have it. Shovel Knight Doesn't have it. Warioware gold had it, but maybe they shouldn't have. At the end of the day, like the other guy said, it's THEIR design choice. They may be playing "Follow the leader" with it, but it's themselves they're following. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PRWB5ukEs_8&t=967s.

I literally told you why, in the comment you quoted.
It's their design choice.
This game was advertised as a Banjo-Kazooie like game and the includes those voices.
I can't comprehend why anyone would get triggered over this.
You can turn them off.

I'm not really mad about it at all actually. I'm just confused about why they didn't give this game regular voice acting as well for those who don't like to hear the characters make seks noices. Call of game design all you want but that still doesn't change the fact that they could've easily added that if they wanted to.

Sure, they also could have easily added guns and first person mode.
