Can you explain why the PC community is getting shafted on the Yooka Laylee release schedule?

Good thing you "absolutely" read peoples points and reasons they were upset before typing this and fully understand the situation at hand.. oh wait.

I read enough to see that it's stupid and petty. The game will be out today, Team17 and Playtonic do not control how Microsoft and Sony handle new releases and if they want to ensure they have support from Valve then I don't see the issue of waiting a few hours, you've waited all this time to play it, a few more hours literally won't kill you.

To be fair, they did tell people on their prelaunch stream yesterday that it would release on steam at 12am uk time.. that was apparently a miscommunication that Team17 apparently didn't bother to correct after roughly 7 hours and 1 hour to what would have been ''release''.. personally, i can wait.. but i get why people are angry. They didn't even bother to put up a PSA or anything, just a simple comment saying whoops - we ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up. Team17 could have handled this alot better, really.

You might be right if this was the only mistake Team 17 have made but the whole thing leading up to launch has been shambles Team 17 have treated the people that put them here in the first place like ♥♥♥♥ for a long time you've come in at the climax all the ♥♥♥♥♥ up all the miscommunication has led to this

I don't really see what else they could have done wrong, I believe a pre-load should have been available sooner, but other than that I haven't really seen anything else they've done wrong. The game will be out today so I don't really see the issue. Pehaps they need to be more certain about things before telling the community what is going to happen but generally this is just an average Steam release, should be used to consoles getting games before PC by now, especially if they don't do midnight releases for them.
