Burn-in affects OLED panels (and old CRT screens) and is a permanent damage, but LCD screens such as the Deck's are much more commonly affected by image retention, which is temporary.
It should go away with time, but you can try to search for and play some dead pixel fix videos if you want to try to get rid of it faster.
after playing different games on the Steam Deck I noticed that I cant find the screen-burn anymore. so in conclusion i guess turning off your Steam Deck does nothing, and playing games that use different colors and such will get rid of it.
Does it have anything to do with the screen brightness?
