I cannot start the game
Well as the title say, i cannot start he game. I hit play button and nothing. I waited, restarted steam, restarted pc, reinstaled game....not a single idea what to do next. Help?

Ok, i have tried all - with no luck i might say - BUT "Replace the default graphicsettings file". I cannot find the Nebraska folder. I checked the integrity of the game, is all good. I cheked the show hiden folders, all visible, but nebraska directory is no where to be found. At this point i don't know if i should ask for a refound or have faith. The game sounds fun, if i can only start it...Any other sugestions?

Are you able to get to: C:\Users\"PCUSERNAME"\AppData\Local\Nebraska\Saved\SaveGames
?

if you manually got to C:\users\"pcusername"\ you probably won't see the appdata dir by default. If you type it in the explorer bar you should be able to get access to it.

Let me know if you're still having trouble

I can't seem to find that folder.

The "pcusername" reffers to the username you use to log in to the PC.

So its C:\users\ after that there sould be a couple of directories. One is named "public", one is probably named "default" (you can only see this one if you have hidden files set to visible) and then there should be another with the same name as your log in name.

You need the one thats named the same as your login.

I have searched my computer and had no luck in locating it.

Nero can you tell me what issues you're currently having? Crash (if so where?) won't run from Steam etc?
If you're having a different issue it's possible that directory wouldn't have been created yet.

It gets to the play it cool video then always crashes right after. I've tried all the things suggested thus far and have had no luck. It gives me this error:

Okay, yeah for starters we should get you to try to replace your graphicssettings file first (as that's fixed some people with this same issue.) As previous users were suggesting, it should be in your C:\Users\"the user name you use to log into windows"\AppData\Local\Nebraska\Saved\SaveGames\ directory.

You can also search in windows for graphicssettings.sav, and it should find it.

Can you also upload a dixdiag for us and link it here so we can check your configuration?

NOT the AppData directory is the problem. That one i can find. The Nebraska directory/folder is the one i CANNOT find. I tryed anything to find it but i cannot find it.

A few things, first off, can you please link your dxdiag for us to look at?
This applies to everyone on this thread having a similar issue. It allows us to see your pc/windows configuration and spot any easy problems that could exist.

Here's instructions on how to you can do that: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-vista/run-directx-diagnostic-tool


Once we can view that, we can help dive into other potential issues.
