Provato ma una ♥♥♥♥♥ e credo che gli sviluppatori abbiano voluto solo guadagnare con un gioco vecchio trasformandolo da visuale isometrica a terza persona senza innovando nulla neanche il combat system che fa pena (per non dire schifo), non hanno aggiunto il salto che è necessario perchè se supero un tronco e non posso tornare indietro beh fate pena come sviluppatori.P.S. a me il gioco originale mi è piaciuto molto perchè è una cosa diversa ma proponendo lo stesso videogioco solo cambiando la visiale beh avete fallito.
Io sinceramente non gli darei nemmeno un euro per questo gioco e devo dire grazie steam per il rimborso. E inoltre su questo videogame potevate aggiungere il survival coop ma niente.

Well, this idea didn't pan out. While the game itself is unchanged(which was orginally pretty good) the idea doesn't really work. This game was built as a top down game not a 3rd person shooter, and it's apperent in the game.

Update: Aiming has been somewhat fixed since my review. Not fixed entirly, but it's better.

Aiming doesn't work in 3rd person like it does in top down. Using a bow and arrow is almost impossible. Each shot actually shoots one or two feet away from it's intened location when aiming at moving targets. Now I understand that if I was moving then there'd be a change, but if I'm standing still the arrow should go where I aim it(or atleast close to it). The thing that gets me is that it works perfectly fine on stationary targets. I aim at the head and the arrow goes into the head(even if the zombie is moving up and down while eating something on the ground), but once they start moving you better pull out your melee cause there's no telling where the shot will go. I shouldn't have to compensate for a target moving directly at me.

The animations also feel off. Again, the game was made top down not as 3rd person so that explains it, It doesn't excuse it, but explains it.

Overall the game feels like an Alpha. It needs some more polish before I think about starting it up again.

I'm not gonna request a refund for two reasons. The other games are actually decent and provided alot of fun. This game wasn't the worst i just feel like it was straight port to third person though and somethings weren't thought through fully but hey it is a decent just shoot em up and survive zombie game. My main gripe is that it wouldn't shut down even after exiting steam, had to kill it was task manager.
Also I only .99$ so i didn't expect some mind blowing game. IF it's on sale for 1.00 it's worth it , but 10$ hell no.

There are two very simple reasons this version of this game will probably put you off.

First, per the original, you play from a top-down perspective, meaning that aiming a weapon is only a two dimensional operation from your viewpoint. Like a hand on a clock. You don't have to accommodate for shot elevation.
In this version, you're operating over the shoulder, meaning you have to factor in the vertical dimensions of your attack.
This perspective shift doesn't lend to fighting quickly, something which the game originally emphasized and for which it was balanced - and the game is otherwise unchanged in every other way. It's akin to playing a bullet hell with RE tank controls.

Secondly - and this is arguably worse - because the game originally offered that top-down perspective, your situational awareness was a 360 degree span all around your character and it allowed you to see over and around environmental objects. The game was balanced for this visibility advantage over the environment. Enemies frequently come in numbers from all sides.
From the over-the-shoulder view, your view is limited to the 180 degrees (or maybe less) at your character's front, and you lack the bird's eye view of forthcoming environment. The game still comes at you as if you can see all its moves from a helicopter. And here you are, meanwhile trying to aim a boomerang.

Just altogether unnecessary, frankly.

Aiming's impossible and the zombies die weird, I LOVE the idea, and I don't even mind paying for it, especially considering the experience for 3 bucks, but this needs a lot of work. It's definitely harder, even on normal, (which I wasn't complaining about) and it fuels the immersion. but it keeps crashing. I can't even make it a past Kovac. If you're new to the series, buy the first one, if not, watch a few reviews to make sure you want it,

Its cheap....but the controls are so bad I don't even think its worth playing. This game is definately made for a console.

Its kinda novel to see a game go from top down to 3rd person, but thats the only really upside to this game. There are much better 3rd person games out there, and to top it off, this one has a horrendous graphics glitch that seems to happen frequently, the kind where wierd images flash all over the screen constantly. It's pretty much an epileptic attack just waiting to happen. The top down how to survive games are cool, but skip this crap.

As a fan of the original, I was pretty excited about this itteration of the original How To Survive. After about 45 minutes in... well, you know how some develpoers take a mobile game and just slap it on PC with little to no change? This is kind of the same idea, except it was a top-down shooter turned into a 3rd person shooter. It shows bad.

The original was a top down shooter, thus all the derpy melee animations were forgiveable and controls worked as it was. This is basically a move of the camera with a few control tweaks. Aiming is attrocious, so don't even bother trying to use anything ranged for headshots, so that's half of the weapons are a pain to use. In the original, it'd lock on to headshots after aiming at an enemy for a while. Now, in addition to the fact that to hit anything, you have to aim somewhere to the right of everything, but since most zombies hobble back and forth so quick, headshots are a pain, unless they're unaware you're there.

Also, now you have to tote around flint all the time to light fires. In the original, you lit them as soon as you got your first skill and they stayed lit. Now, not only do you need flint to light them as a consumable, but the rain will put them out. I'm not sure if I like this or not... yet... I haven't played this enough to decide. I CAN tell you I don't like the fact that the inventory, skills, etc screen doesn't pause the game, as it takes several clicks to combine things or use something. While this is happening, a zombie can easily get a cheap hit in, especially at night with the crawly ones. (Which to keep away witht he flashlight, you need to walk in an occasional circle to keep them back, both in the original and this one.)

The game could really use a mini-map or compass. Since the original was top-down, it's easy to tell north from south, but now to decern which way you're facing, but here you have to check the map. A small gripe, but it's tedious.


Anyways, I hope the devs plan on putting some effort into a patch, now that I can't get a refund because it's passed 14 days. (Forgot I had it pre-ordered and got busy.) I would've gotten a refund right away and hoped they did better later, but hey... they got my money. Can't do anything about it but wait now. It's a shame, because I like how the new persective looks and I liked the first itteration just fine.

I liked the How To Survive first game, I really did... Yes it was a crappy zombie game, with crappy survival elements but it had some bazzaz, I give it that... but because it was a messy, great zombie slasher game, it went into the devs' heads and they give us this horrible crap?? NOPE...

I'm not even kidding, remember the bugs and the cringy gameplay I've spoken about in my review of the original game? It's now ten times worse because of the Third Person perspective!! I tried playing this, I really did... but the game crashes every time I craft a freaking bow... I also kept dying to nothing in the second map, only to figure out it was a zombie deer that'd spawn out of nowhere and make literally no noise, comes to your behind and starts ploughing like a big fat president, with no warning and no lube!

If you're going to make games like these, I suggest you "scrap that thought". It's an unholy game, trust me! It's one of the unholiest games I've ever played, I've had electricity cuts twice trying to load it, I swear and I've never EVER had electricity cuts... Also now appearently the "hold mouse to aim for the head" is now swapped to "just aim at the zombie's head" and nobody tells you that until you die 17 times to a Boomer zombie and figure it out the hard way. The graphics did not improve, and what looked like poo in the original game now looks like poo covered in dirty mud.

This is a 0.1/10 game! Do yourselves a favour, go play the original and do not intrigue yourself enough, thinking "hmmm I wonder how this would look in third person". Big nope, ignore it simply because it might as well invoke some ancestral demon into your home if you try to launch it at the witching hour lol Also if you see my name in the Leaderboards, I'm not going to deny it, I did cheat the game! When the game's that bad, I just regret not refunding it when I had the chance, let alone use a freaking CheatEngine table!

i thought this game looked cool after i looked at the screen shots, oh boy i was wrong. i bought it for $1 on steam summer sale, this is garbage, there is only audio options and keybindings nothing else, the graphics are terrible, so is the gameplay (just hit it until it dies) the zombies sound like farm animals giving birth (pigs to be exact) and you cant even jump?! im embaressed to even have this in my library i dont reccomend buying this game at its $10 price tag nor its $1 sale price tag. 505 games had embaressed themselfs
