JUST WTF?! Why developers simply have not improved part 2?
That is a good question.
Though I was okay with no import feature so far for I expected quite a lot from all the new classes - yet their skills are underwhelming. Some of them just have a single main attack. No option for something else. It is just that. No build variety.
Umbralist - I honestly didn't pay much attention beyond that it's the whole fresh new class. Nothing to compare it with.
Constructor & Phlogistoneer - What I expected, and overall positive. Follows the Contraptionist & Bombardier lvl 30 prerolled chars in VH2.
Elementalist - Disappointing, but is at least a bit recognizable and have kept several of the iconic ones. I'm not happy about losing Sluggish Time and Ice Shards. Also - was two barriers really needed? More like a Spellkeeper than an Adeptus VH2 preroll.
Bounty Hunter - Is supposed to represent the original VH1 Van Helsing, but at a closer glance it doesn't really. They have turned a gunslinger into a sniper. The Seekermatons takes up two skills and does intrude on the Constructor's territory. In addition Precision Shot and Missile Vault has also nothing to do with the original VH1-2 hunter, making half the active skills changes from the older games.
Protector - Don't be mistaken, this is not the melee hunter - who plays more like a duelist. This is a knight class, something that doesn't really fit a steampunk Victorian era. Also too much cliche skills copied from other ARPGs - the usual Battlecry, Leap and spin-to-win skills.
So, first impression is 3 positive and 3 negative.
