Have you tried running it in compatability mode? or Administrator mode?

I have the same problem. The game launches a window then immediately closes it without showing an error message.

If you switch back to 7 it works windows 10 doesn't really work well with other things as well that I use

OH THATS GREAT , YOU FIXED IT BUT DIDNT FIX IT, REVERTING TO AN OLD VERSION OF WINDOWS FOR COMPATABILITY'S SAKE DOESNT FIX ANYTHING!!

Necro but top google result so...

I had this exact issue but found that changing the colour depth in the startup from 32bpp to 8bpp worked. I selected full screen (checkbox) then selected the maximum resolution, but not the 32bpp version (at the bottom). I selected the 8bpp version (half way down the list) and it works.
