It all started with Ac2's success. Ac was brainchild of
Patrice Désilets. To ac, he was what Kojima was to metal gear. He visioned the series to be a trilogy, with games the exact way op described. Ac1 and 2 was on the point. But 2's success made ubisoft greedy. They insisted on annualization and down the line, Patrice was fired. He joined THQ and began working on a game called 1666. Ubisoft promptly bought out THQ, cancelled the Project of 1666 and fired Patrice.. again. Right now, Patrice made his own studio, Pnache Studios and working on a game called Ancestors:Humankind Odyssey. I'm very interested in it too.
