Chapter 3 bug (NO SPOILER PLEASE)

can someone help me?
basically I just started the third chapter.
Ferdinand (guess that was his name) calls all the characters to warn them about the disappearence of the captain. one by one everyone leave, the camera follows Quella as she leaves and then slowly goes down to the stairs where you as a cat should appear.
the bug is that right after that the camera goes back to the upper stairs where Quella left and it stay stuck. I end up being with a stucked camera, I can still see some NPC move, but my character doesn't.
it's basically making me unable to keep playing. I've tried also to change resolution, switch to window mode. still nothing. Any help?

ok, it seems I somehow solved it.
Basically when you start the chapter you control the cat.
I tried to go up the stairs as a ghost and it didn't bug this time.
