If Amnesia Got on here....
.... do you guys think Diabolik Lovers, Black Wolves Saga, or Glass Heart Princess have a chance? What Otome games would you guys/gals like to see?

Shinobi Koi Utsutsu, Reine des Fleurs or Binary Star.

I've heard good things about all those titles, and they're all appealing in their own way, both visually and narratively.

I think the answer to your first question will depend on sales, and whether it's "worth it" to translate the sheer amount of text in another otome game and go through the process of publishing the game on Steam again. Some games are likely much cheaper to get the rights than others as well. Amnesia's an interesting case in that its overall sales are being split between Steam, PlayStation Vita, and mobile, so I'm curious how that'll affect sales too.

After recently playing otome games that are a bit on the darker side, I think I'd like something more lighthearted next. Shinobi Koi Utsutsu had a recent Vita port released in Japan--I think I'd enjoy some moe ninja boys. Reine des Fleurs looks SO PRETTY and I want it because PRETTY. So, so pretty. Also, I think the Western aesthetic may help appeal to Western audiences. And pretty.

Edit: CURRY you moe ninja, you beat me. My little clone-y.

I bought and played Alice on mobile, despite preferring to game on virtually any other platform--such is my hunger for otome games. I paid for the full version. Actual money. If you've heard about the translation...it's every bit as bad as people say.

Still, I enjoyed it and don't regret my purchase. At the same time, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who has a halfway decent grasp of English. I like to show people my screenshot collection of really bad Alice translation mishaps--they bring down the house every time.

To this day, one of my favorite things to say to sad people is "you look dump." (I assume they were going for something along the lines of "you look down in the dumps.")

I second Shinobi Koi and Binary Star!! You have good taste. :3

The Starry Sky series wouldn't be bad either. I obviously wouldn't rave about their plots and compliment them on their wonderful stories, but there's such an abundance of characters I feel like there'd be something for everyone there. They're not a bad introduction to otome games. :3

Personally, I'm not interested in Diabolik Lovers. And Black Wolves Saga -Bloody Nightmare- is already getting a English patch. It's almost done. They are coming out with Norn9: Var Commons and Code: Realize, but they will only be available on the PS Vita. I don't have one so I won't be buying them sadly. I've heard good things about Clock Zero ~Shuuen no Ichibyou~, so I'd probably want to see that next in English.

I would kill a man to see Dialovers in English, honestly-- but I can't see it going over well considering it's a very polarizing series to anyone but the target audience. :T It's a series people like to overreact terribly towards.

Moujutsukai to Oujisama seems like a pretty cute game that'd do well with an English-speaking audience. Its plot kinda reminds me of Dandelion except without all the annoying grinding/stat-raising.

I think it may have been the company that translated Amnesia, but there was a poll a few months back on what otome game fans would like to see in English next. I know Dialovers got a lot of votes in that one, so hopefully a translation will be on its way soon if Amnesia's sales do well!

Aside from that, I'm really hoping Binary Star gets an English release. The art, music, story, EVERYTHING about it is just so great and I would love to be able to play it in English and understand it fully other than just playing it in Japanese and admiring the art, hahaha.

I would also personally love Kamigami no Asobi to get a translation.

(also i want to say that anyone reading this should check out binary star because its so cute and if you like amnesia's art style you'll probably like BS as well BUT PLEASE CHECK IT OUT IT'S SO UNDERRATED AND DESERVES LOVE)

I thought we were just talking about Otomate's games... Well, for the person who mentioned it, Anniversary no Kuni no Alice (remake of Heart no Kuni no Alice) is going to get an English patch soon (maybe sometime in October, shhh).

I thought the same thing when I saw it a while ago! It really does look cute. And apparently I haven't dated enough animal-men in my lifetime. I loved Dandelion even though I loathe stat-raising, so something similar without the tedium would probably be great.
