Amnesia Later & Crowd on Steam ?

Hey there !

I've been willing to play Amnesia for years but strangely enough, I just couldn't find it anywhere... Until recently. I really enjoyed it (even more than I expected), heck I'd gladly replay some routes (like Shin's, since he's my favorite) but I still feel sad now that I have finished this VN. I want more, and I know there IS more.

Amnesia Later and Amnesia Crowd are two sequels to Amnesia Memories if I'm not mistaken. So here is my question... I was wondering whether Idea Factory was planning to release Later and Crowd on Steam as well, or not ?
Cause I'd buy it for sure. Please IF ? I beg you. ;-;

Well, they haven't said anything about it. They didn't even mention any otome release for their "2016 lineup" at the IF conference earlier this month, but there's always hope.
To be honest I'd be willing to pay for all Amnesia sequels, even though I know they're not superb. I've read that the best one is the one that came out in 2014 (Amnesia World) followed by Amnesia Later and then Amnesia Crowd. But I'd really spend all my money in all of them, I'm already hooked and I really want them localized. My level of japanese is average at best and I can't really play them in their original language (there's also the fact that I don't own a vita or a psp).

Oh dear god, I wasn't aware of Amnesia World's existence. In fact, I learnt about Later & Crowd only a few days ago, I didn't think there would be sequels in the first place.

But I see we're on the same boat... Even tho I've studied Japanese for a few years, I don't think I'd be able to play these games in their original language (I really would spend all my money in all of them as well)... I do own a PSP (not a Vita tho) but yeah.. It's no use if they aren't even localized.
I guess all that's left to do is... Wait, pray and see then.

Yes, I still two routes away from finishing the game, and I'm already sad that it's the only amnesia game translated so far. I'm reeeeeally hoping they decide to realease the rest too <3.

Omg I saw a post on Tumblr about an interview of Idea Factory, saying that Amnesia did really well on Steam...

They said they might consider to localize/release other Otome games in the future, but they're a bit reluctant as they still wonder if people actually like this kind of games, or if they just liked Hakuouki (which seems to be really popular overall -not on Steam).

But yeah ! Despite that -90% sale on Amnesia a moment ago (that kinda thing is usually "bad news" cause it makes it look like it's not selling very well), it'd seem the situation isn't all that bad. So I guess we truly can hope for more Otome games to come out on Steam and.... why not Amnesia Later, Crowd and World ? :D

Hopefully. Localizing a game requires a lot of work tho, so... We gotta be patient.

i have been dying for the sequels after finishing amnesia: memories as well. the thing about the 90% off sale is that we don't know if it keeps occurring because IF can spare the money, or they're jusy desperate to get people to buy it.
but, anyways, i've read the interview you're talking about, and there's a way we can tell them that we want the sequels and not just hakuouki.
maybe check out the link? it tells you more about how, and includes a link to idea factory international, where you can tell them that we love otome as a genre, and give them a list of whatever games we'd like to see in the future. ^-^

I guess so ? This would make sense, but from what I've seen so far (which is.. not much), it seems very likely.

Just in case anyone doesn't know: yes, all the sequels contain the 5 guys we've come to know :p
Also! I emailed Iffy about this whole thing and wanting the sequels localized and agdjakhakd I truly recommend everyone that wants them localized to do the same. As I thought, there aren't any current plans for localization but they do read and pay attention to what we say xD (unlike some other companies...). So please everyone: spend a couple minutes and email them too :)

I don't know if I would completely call them sequels. In a way they are but they are more fan disks. Or alternative worlds? I do love that you can play Orion's route though! And there are other cute things like Waka's and girls party
