I bought the lantern, then bought it *again* because it would let me buy it again and I thought it would upgrade or something - then my mouse glitched out and wouldn't ever hide itself, so I reloaded the game.
When I was loaded back in, not only was my lantern missing, but I couldn't stop moving left.
It happens without any input at all, even from new game. Here is an example of what's happening. Keep in mind that I am doing nothing but using my mouse to look around in this clip:

If you want to see it live in action you are welcome to contact me via Discord, I am willing to show you. (same name as Steam)
If you could try and update and see if that fixed it, please
Issue still persists after the latest push (5:25 PM EST)
If you're still having the issue, I found my issue with constantly moving left. I had a driver called "vJoy virtual joystick driver" that I uninstalled, and it started working just fine. Hope this helps!
It definitely seems like an issue isolated to your personal machine, I would assume (if it was a game issue then there would be many more having the issue than us). Here are some things I would recommend to try from my experiences:
-Of course the basic make sure your drivers are updated for your keyboard (in device manager and in your KB software if applicable
-Make sure there aren't any other controllers/keyboards connected (wired or wireless)
-Try a different USB port (I've had many issues in the past where bad USB ports cause wonkyness)
-Possibly try a different keyboard
-If your hardware is connected to a switch or any external USB dongles, try to bypass those
-Double check and do a deep dive to make sure there isn't any drivers/programs installed that take control of your keyboard or mimic inputs
If all else fails, the game does have controller support if you have one. If you find a solution, please do come back and update. I've done enough google searching to make my fingers numb lol
Open Device Manager
Expand Human Interface Devices (it may alternately be located in Sound Video and Game Controllers)
Find the lines that are like HID-Compliant Game Controller
or something similar with your device's brand in it
Right Click the item and DISABLE it (don't uninstall)
Test, Undo, and repeat with an alternate lines if you have multiple devices and it didn't work with the first one. If you test and it changes the direction of automatically moving, you have two devices that are causing additive inputs and you may need to repeat this process for an additional device without undoing the one that changed the direction of continual movement.
