Tropico 2
What does this game offer that I can't get from Tropico 2 Pirates Cove? I already own that and from the screens and video this looks like a direct ripoff of that game. Not trying to be offensive, I like games like this, I'm just curious if there's any reason I should buy this.

Tropico 2 Pirates Cove is one of my favorite classic games of all time. I think it may be very similar, but it looks a bit different. Anything that is like that, maybe even updated a little is a good thing. Especially because you can never get sick of Pirates. I got Windward because it reminded me of Sid Meiers Pirates. But it turned out to be better then his and it is one of my new favorite games now. So you never know. Plus its only 5 bucks.

Haven't bought it yet, but the fact it is 2D, looks so similar too Tropico 2 and is not expensive might easily lead to me to purchase it. Why? I really like Tropico2, the shame is just that it didn't used all of its potential and even worse, you can't run the latest version (1.2) on modern OS. Here's a indie developer without a publisher in the back...and there is hope that the game will get longer and more community oriented support.

Hi, i`m sorry to hear that. Of course we´ll try to fix that. Can you send us a short description of your system and what you were doing when the crash occurred? Our contact email is: eyepatch.contact@gmail.com

If this is close to Tropico 2, it's a buy for me. Is there any way to get a "side by side comparison"?

This is nothing like Tropico 2 it would be a demo of Tropico 2 before they did the specialized workers, the slaves, the buildings and training your pirates, and how you can fine tune where your ship goes and whats its quest is, nation diplomacy and more and it is all not in this game. None of that exists here, go pay 1-2$ more and get Tropico 2 and 2 other Tropico games that are way more and way better, less buggy, and funner.

Ghost

If you like Tropico 2, save yourself some money and give this game a miss until they improve it. I am not having stability or crash issues - but did you know that there appears to be only 1 map in the whole game (standard or endless play options) - that's right you play the same map over-and -over again. Until the devs create a random map generator or more maps this game has a longevity of approx 2 hrs.

This is pretty much the kind of stuff I was worried about. Thanks for the info.

First look seems like old Port Royal 3 am better in most aspects. Sure this can improve, but as a citybuilder without much need for graphics this is to ugly.
