Also... Jatai "go away and never come back!" or something, sounds a lot like Gollum from LOTR.
Just after the Weapon explosion, Ceres and Fina's conversation is a reference to the typical "you've been asleep for..."-conversation from "Back to the Future" 1-3 (it appears in all 3 movies^^)
I could also probably write a whole essay on how the plot itself has several parallels with Chrono Trigger, but
a) I'm not sure if that even counts as a reference,
b) There's so many, it's probably worthy of it's own topic,
c) I'm too tired to do that right now.
Oh yeah, how could I forget?
The Lab when it was falling apart made me think of Fallout vaults with holes, broken computers, and ultimately activating the weapon (it had a radioactive sign on it) since since in Fallout 3 you can blow yourself up if you don't have the apropriate skill level when trying to dissarm the nuke in it I felt that oddly apropriate.
Plus the time travel part with the monoliths is similar to the time portals in Chrono Trigger.
aleph is the hebrew word for the letter " a"

The machine here looks sort of like the one Eggman uses to get away from Sonic in the 2D games.
Mayenne is also just 1 letter off of Mayene, another country in the Wheel of Time (Mayenne is also a french city or whatever)
Referencing Whitebeard from One Piece, I can only assume. xD
