How do i get ''awaken''?

Whilst playing through the game i came to this point when i find a guardian and she says that i should come back to her when im awaken. After some searching i gave up and started looking it up on youtube. I realised that the youtuber has collected some maana and after that talked to the old ''witch'' lady. But since i missed that and also gone back in time i cant talk to the old lady. Does this mean that i have failed my playtrough or does some way to re-do it exist?

You'll have another shot at it later. You will be able to freely travel to time later on.

That is when you already have awakened your companions however.

To upgrade Menos yes. Othwise you can't get past the boulder blocking the Mayenne bridge. after that it's more up to you if you want to upgrade or not.

But im not even sure i have Menos, when you time travel, doesn't he dissapear?

Uhm. I'm not sure. You've got Velvet so head for the town and enter the building to find some meddling kids I believe.
