Poll : Which parts should be easier ?
We read that a number of players find some parts of the game too difficult.

As you know, you can switch to Easy (TooYoungToDie) mode at any time from the inventory menu.

If even in that mode you still can't beat some part of the game, please report us there so we can make proper difficulty adjustments.

Thanks !

I'd like to toss my hat in here for Finrost being a bit too much. He's playing cards on top of other cards, and I swear his Fina card can hit whatever he feels like hitting. Just seems a tad unfair to give him such abilities.

After a 100 or so attempts I gave up. : http://i.imgur.com/QO25HW8.png This is basically every fight I've done with him.

Not gonna lie the sewers in the chicken lady's house in (past i think) need some toning down, i get nearly 2shot by everything in there and sometimes it's not my fault. also being lvl 24 and not one shotting the things in there in turn? i understand the platform difficulty, i'm ok with that unless i'm not supposed to be there until lvl 30 and then i do all the damages.

Seconding this. Even a save point by where you put the mysterious gems would be nice; I reached there multiple times, only to die in trying to get one of the gems due to the crazy powered up monsters, then have to run that platforming gauntlet yet again.

I don't think any part of the game needs to be decreased in difficulty. The only part I haven't done yet is the Demonia Takeover but up to now yes the game has some difficult parts but just like old games it's all trial and error. I bet most of the people asking for difficulty drops have never played any old games.

It just takes some practice and patience guys, don't ♥♥♥♥♥ at the developers cause you are all whiney lillte ♥♥♥♥♥♥.

I think playing on easy should increase the time you can hit him by at least (half) a second. So it's actually easy.

If you are having trouble with the damage he deals either level up abit so you can take more hits or just don't get hit.

Although I managed to finish the game, I can see where others have had problems. Personally, I had to double check several at several points that I actually had the game on easy mode, because you could've fooled me.

Health seems to be a little sparse at times. The little health heart pickups don't seem to restore enough health unless you are lucky enough to get a bunch of them in a row. Usually a checkpoint comes right when you really need it, but it still feels a little unforgiving. I found myself wishing a few times that there was a god mode cheat so I could just beat that boss so I could move on. Or is this supposed to be easy as in NES game easy?

The megaman style rooftop platformer and cherry's boss fight there definitly need some toning down. The platformers in general as I said could use more health, at least on easy mode.

Oh and while I loved the Sylph Forest segment, being trapped by that one Tomatl not withstanding, so many people seem to be getting stuck there that it definitly use a bit of extra clues as to what you should be doing when, etc.

As much as I love this game its difficulty sporadically changes more often in a way that wasn't really seen in old games barring Battletoads. There are parts that have to be nerfed/baalanced

Ehh either way I like it, it's nice to have a game that is actually challenging without having to play a Souls game or blindfold myself when I play Smash XD

I respect your opinion.

The Laboratory section isn't difficult so much as its just needlessly time consuming, especially if you do manage to die and have to re-fight some of the battles. The flickering lights section also doesn't seem to follow the previously established "Stepping on a grate = fight" rule, a few encounters there just come out of nowhere. There's nothing particularly wrong with any individual fight as it stands, it just feels like there's too many of them.

I think the issue with the Reno fight could be solved by tuning his pattern to perform the one attack that leaves him vulnerable more often during his first phase. Its another case of the fight not necessarially being too difficult, so much as just taking longer than it feels like it should, the first phase is more of an endurance test than a fight.

I played on Challenge and all in all the game wasn't too hard, it had just the right difficulty for the most part. However the puzzle part with the Wikings and Jon Snow really seemed imbalanced such as the AI always getting the right gems falling from top. Also some of their skills seemed a tad OP compared to the player's abilities. In the end, I was still able to beat Jon Snow on Challenge with some potions, but it still felt very luck based.

this is what difficulties are for, we're talking changing up the difficulties for lower difficulty levels, i.e. bullet hell not as many bullets (or 1 shottable guys), in the sewers either less damage or enemies, make the challenges less taxing on the players. Also plum needs some animations to signify what she's doing because as it stands it's same animation 1 of numerous things. beyond that I haven't made too mucch progress.

I don't think any of the main story line stuff was too hard. Some of it was definitely really hard, but it was all doable, with good respawns most of the time. For the boss fights, I think the difficulty was fine; if the bosses are too easy, it makes the game boring.

The only bits I would like to have seen toned down are:
1) The hardest song on the DDR/Guitar Hero stage.
2) The hardest Ikaruga/Bullet hell stage.**
I basically gave up on getting all the cards when I realised it was gonna require hours of frustration trying to beat those challenges.

**EDIT: Actually, having gone back to try this challenge again, it wasn't that hard. Still took me over half an hour of retries to get it done, but it turned out I was actually closer to the end than I had thought. For some reason, I thought there would be another boss after Scizor.
