Can I hunt the cards after main story?

I just got to the game of cards part and I want to continue the story. Can I come back after I complete the game and finish up the card achievements?

Yes! In Both Evoland 1 and 2, after completing the story, you can go back to basically anywhere in the world, complete all achievments, and the card collection.
Both games are made with that in mind, and Evoland 2 also has a few things made for making post-game completion more comfortable. You will discover these along the way.

There's a few cards that can only be accessed during the story :( I know because I did the same as you and realized I couldn't get all the cards
The only one I remember is one that you get during the fire emblem portion of you don't kill a certain character and talk to them instead but there might be others

I killed that character and still got all the cards on my first playthrough. I don't think any of the cards are permanently missable regardless of that one does.
