Keyboard Controls Prophet Fight?
So after the rage-fest that was climbing Mt. Alpha and lagging through the Galaga/Space invaders style flight arena, I come to the fight with the Prophet... only to discover that I have absolutely no idea what the controls are. I found the menu that supposedly tells you how to use the controls for this scene and after an hour I managed to decipher most of them. BUT. What the actual crap is the curvy arrows on the keyboard? (Yes, I know, keyboard heathen, boo! hiss! I don't want any comments here about how I need to get a controller just answer the question.)

Honestly, I'm using an Xbox 360 controller and I'm having the same issues. I was really enjoying the game up until this point. I'm not sure if I'm missing something or if this fighting game segment is just really poorly designed.

Seems like you guys never played a fighting game before... x)

On a controller, have you ever tried to move the stick from down to right passing by the diagonal (without getting it back at the center)? This is what a "curvy arrow" represents. Adapt the movement to the specific arrow you're looking at.
It is also doable on a keyboard, you just need two fingers (keep pressing down, then keep pressing right too, then release down).

I'm not sure if I'm clear. Easy to see, hard to describe (especially when English isn't your main language).

Thank you for the tips, Nazemec. I'll admit fighting games are one genre I am largely inexperienced with, besides Smash Bros. (and I'm sure elitists would scoff at that :P). I will try again.
I managed to beat him, not by any skill in pressing combo keys, but by literally pounding each one simultaneously repeatedly until I won. But then that's how I've played every fighting game from Double Dragon to Smash Bros

Haha, that's how I did too to be honest. "Knowing how to play" doesn't always mean "being good at it". x)

You're welcome. ;-)

I managed to beat him as well, and I'm back to having fun with the game :hee:

I don't know if I did it unintentionally, but I managed to use the special by pressing the kick and hit buttons at the same time twice, I'm not sure if that's right.
