Lethis shouldn't require admin rights for anything in the first place - UAC "should" pick up on you needing it everytime you run the game after the first time tohugh.
And people wonder why some of us disable UAC every time, heh :)
The manifest is some XML content inside the .exe file which tells the system whether the application does need Administrative rights or not.
But good to know. If I had bought this game and recognized this I would have refunded this if the developer won't answer this.
I personnaly don't understand why it's such a big problem but hey, you're the players.
As a hobby programmer, I don't really see why Lethis requires admin rights in the first place - It's not like it's changing any files in a protected environment.
And not having to click "Yes - you can run this game with admin rights" every time you launch it does get old. Which is why I disabled UAC altogether years ago.
You're... not. You don't seem to understand how elevated rights work.
I set the RunAsInvoker shim for Lethis. The game works just fine without administrator rights, and this also incidentally fixes its Steam overlay and achievements, which weren't working before.
As for why achievements and overlay won't work - Perfectly normal. You're asking the steam.exe to inject itself into the memory of the game - That requires administrative priviledges.
Oh dear. This is the only game that asks for elevation. Elevation prevents overlay and achievements from working. Removing elevation fixes them.
