Game crashes when loading stock tracks. Help please!

The menus work fine, but whenever I try to start an event the game crashes with the message: "mxvsatv.exe has stopped responding"

I've tried verifying the game cache but that didn't work, any ideas?

Do you have all these files inside your mx vs atv folder?

That file doesn't matter I deleted mine and it still worked fine. Are you on a laptop? Everyone who is trying to play the game and stock tracks won't work for them, are using laptops. The game won't run with an onboard video chipset on the motherboard. Only supports ATI or Nvidia. So upgraded graphics card not stock card

sadly I think so, doesn't make any sense that it wouldn't work for that old of a game. Maybe try tweaking with the graphics you have? Sorry I'm not anymore help.

One thing you can at least do is go to www.mxmaniacs.com you can download custom tracks and still play those. Thats what the others have said. Just follow the steps in this quote from another person.

4. Click on Program Files (x86)
5. Find the Steam folder
6. Open up the Steam folder

12. Open up the track you just downloaded
13. Drag and drop the files into the User Tracks folder

Does it have to be an upgraded graphics card? cause I'm having the same problem but my laptop has a stock Nvidia gtx860m

oy vey! thats so annoying! eh thats okay i think ill be able to get my desktop soon. damn i was super pumped to play this 10yo game on my surface seemlessly ugh lol. thanks for the info!!
