So I beat this in less than 7 hours but man it was a nice change of pace. Lots of puzzle games are either pretentious, too easy, or unfun. This game's puzzles were not too hard, but I still felt great solving them. A fun brooding story that was odd, but not too wordy, and just enough to keep me going. I wish more puzzle games were like this.

I would 100% recommend this. It's a little bit more difficult than portal, but very satisfying. If you are a puzzle head like me, you would enjoy guaranteed!

There's puzzles of various difficulties, especially also in the DLCs.
I liked that there's often multiple ways to solve things - though often in what seems like unintended ways by abusing physics ^^
Walking is a bit slow, but the game isn't that long and you'll be spending most of the time thinking about how to solve a puzzle anyway.

10/10 the only bad part was that the story was a bit convoluted but it did get me from point A to point B.

+ Puzzles are really nice
+ Great progression for the puzzles and learning new mechanics
+ A lot cool unique mechanics that they constantly build on top of


- Story was a bit meh
- I wish there was a couple of puzzles that require like more like APM gameplay because that would make some puzzles more interested. For example like forcing the user to do quicker management of different yellow boxes to make things go together.

I was in a very depressive state and I was looking for a game to distract me. I tried Hollow Knight and A hat in time and I just had a hard time focusing however this game really got me going and really enjoyed spending time on it! Thanks a lot to the devs.

Qube 2 is a very decent puzzle game, in the same genre as "Portal 2" and "Magrunner: Dark Pulse".
It has atmosphere and a story that make the simple map design feel alien and bearable.

If Portal was about robots and Magrunner was about aliens, then Qube is about robot aliens :D

I haven't played the first Qube game but its boring white tileset seemed too boring and reminded me of bathrooms.
Qube 2 on the other hand reminded me of The Backrooms.

My only gripes could be:
Wish there was a workshop for community made levels like in Portal...
Also wish there was a button for running. Normal walking is so 2005, come on.
Heard the paid DLC are good but they are paid DLC..


Overall, a good enough game.
Puzzles were challenging but not for someone like me who is coming fresh off of custom Portal 2 levels.

The puzzles were fun. The story was meh but I wasn't expecting much. 8.5/10

QUBEng my 2 rn

It's a not-horrible puzzle game hobbled by a not-very-interesting story, the inability to run, and the fact that it ends long before it gets challenging. I don't know if this is to say I want more, or just.... Different.

It honestly feels like the Devs ran out of time and just said, "Whatever puzzle room you just finished is the end!" and tacked on some half-baked.... You know, the ending is absolutely wonky.... As spoiler-free as I can make it: You're supposed to "choose" between being "destructive" or "not destructive", but it is revealed the very next moment to be meaningless - both choices lead to the same place, and one is a "happy words are said" while the other (I assume) is "sad words are said," all while the same exact things are carried out.

The main character looks/sounds like a feminine version of Tom Holland, down to the Estuary accent. Honestly, I can't say much negative about the voice acting. There are maybe some things I'd change, but they really come down to problems with the story.

The plotline/story isn't very compelling, and I feel isn't honestly necessary for a puzzle game (I wonder if the success of games like Portal brought the idea of "needing story in our platform puzzle games"), so I'm gonna ignore it.

Overall, I can't say I don't want people to spend money on this game because I mean, it's not bad and is mostly a good way to burn a few hours, but yeah.... I dunno.
