Final thoughts on the game
I think this was well worth the buy but I also feel that the game is pretty uh... imbalanced on some key fronts.

For starters, it's a racing game, but you're not really racing against anyone so much as just trying to make it through a course as quickly as possible with the gimmick being you're on tracks, not unlike those old toy remote cars you'd play with on tracks. The gimmick here is you "switch" (Switch Galaxy Ultra, get it?) what track you're on to dodge incoming obstacles and other things (other cars, barriers, shots being fired at you, etc). Now, the biggest isue, and really only issue aside from being unable to nab the soundtrack (which is good, but there's only a few tracks to the game) is that the courses twist and turn which directly affects your field of vision. Yes, you could use the brakes to navigate at a slower pace, but I don't think most people who play a racing game are going to want to hit the brakes. Admittedly, I didn't use the option much but it is there.

ANYWAY, the reason I dislike all the twisting and turning is because the game's boosting works in such a way that if you get hit by ANYTHING you lose all of your boost meter. When you can't see what's coming at you on the road it's nigh impossible to dodge an incoming barrier(s), doubly so when they throw barriers and multiple tracks to switch around on RIGTH out of a teleporter (gives you a bright flash that SLOWLY fades away and by teh time you get a clear veiw of what's going on you've most likely hit a barrier).

My other big issue is personal gripe and not something against the game or designs itself, but the ships that shoot bullets that reverse your controls entirely are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. There's plenty of points where you can't dodge them, and they'll even throw them at you when you're in the middle of tryign to weave through the course's barriers/ships, so when you've got a steady rhythm of left right left right etc, you've got to IMMEDIATELY be able to reverse that. I personally feel that taking/altering controls of the player in ways like this is really annoying design, but if you want it, go ahead.

All of THAT aside, teh game is legitimately good DESPITE the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ imo. The racing looks incredibly awesome, teh speeds are insane, the soundtrack gets you pumped, and tehre's even little blips of a story and characterization done in a very stylized and interesting comic book style.
