As someone have already said, emulate android via Bluestacks.
I recently revisited the game after years of not playing it on a fresh save and JFC they bastardized it beyond belief, i do not recall there being this unneeded feature of upgrading your plants so they cost less, deal more damage and other forms of power creep, while jumping on contemporary mobile game designs like an obvious competitive mode for premium rewards.
Some people just nag others to play modded so I will leave that as a hint; vanilla is nothing like i remember since launch and the amount of premium plants is eye-popping.
