FATAL ERROR

have over 306 hours played. It's always worked fine, now sudenly without changing anything I get a fatal error. Cannot play, anyone else experiencing the same?

I disabled GSYNC on my monitor and it started to work after that. Of course this will only work if you have a Gysync enabled video card and monitor...

Same problem. Only music and mouse cursor. When I try to push mouse button on random places on black screen and advance, I cant hear any sounds, seems like game is not responding mouse.

I get a window with some error report and a [send report] button. Text too small, didn't read. I'm using big screen.

opt out of the Steam Beta program in settings. this also affects other popcap games such as Peggle. You can update the registry so that the game does not load in full screen mode, but leaving the steam beta program is easier. someone should post this bug to the steam beta discussion if it has not already been reported so this update doesn't get pushed to non-beta clients.

Same problem, I updated steam (it updated itself) and now i cant play plant versus zombies.

Already opted out of the Beta for steam client, broken games. :/ There's no reason to have to change ANYTHING for a game that should be functional. Steam needs to revert whatever it is that happened (I'm guessing it's the chat feature, but might be the big picture since that almost always messes things up.)

in case anyone missed it, this fixes it for me. there is a registry key that lets you disable full-screen (this bug is happens when full-screen mode is enabled)
regedit.exe
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\SteamPopCap\PlantsVsZombies
set ScreenMode to 0

Just had update to steam and that's when Plants vs Zombies was unable to load. First comes Preparing to launch PvsZ then another Steam error Failed to start game (app already running). I have no other computer running, no other device at all!
FIX THIS PEOPLE!!
