Zen Garden Plant Drops

Its said that the best place to get Zen Garden plants is Survival Endless but all I'm getting is diamonds. Note that I got 3 zen garden plants two days ago in the Last Stand mini-game. But now I'm getting only diamonds everywhere, last stand and survival included. So I was wondering if the zen garden plants work in a similar manner to the plants you can buy from Crazy Dave? And that you can only get a select amount of drops (three) per day or per two days.

I don't know man, I'm just wondering where my zen garden drops are, I got to 24 flags in Survival Endless and got 5 Diamond drops instead of Plants.
