EA Play
Can I play the original Plants vs. Zombies (published before EA bought PopCap Games) without having an EA Play account? Or is Steam going to require me to make an EA Play account and download Origin if I try to install PvZ? Keep in mind I'm talking about the original game.

FYI this isn't the original Plants vs. Zombies, this is a patched version that removes the Michael Jackson dancing zombie (just letting you know because for some reason, some nostalgists get really upset about this). Other than that, you don't need any form of EA account to play this on Steam.

That's what I was hoping to hear! I ask in part because the Steam store page for PvZ GOTY includes the following note: "EA Play subscription requires acceptance of EA Play Terms." Are you saying that this means EA Play subscriptions are available but not required?
