potato bombing the giga zombie?

if this was an achievement how hard will it be to be pulled off?

Not hard at all. Giga zombies take 3 insta-kill plants to die, so just weaken it with two other insta-kills and then have a potato mine lined up. Pretty easy, otherwise just put three potato mines in a row and just stall the giga-gargantuar (puff shroom + imitater puff shroom is a good way to stall).

what i find hard is putting potato mine IN FRONT of the battlefield and expect it not to die before it arms up. let alone get wasted by some weak zombie

You could just remove your own defenses to set up a potato mine after a stall start such as what Renfrew mentioned (puff shroom+ imitator puff shroom)

so basically make the round even longer than it needed to. *sigh*.

would it then be impossible to do it under 4-5 minutes of roundtime?

maybe there's a way where you won't even need to do all those intentional prolonging the game just for the sake of prolonging it. surely there has to be a way. maybe 2-3 melons per lane?
