As far as I see this is steam only right now, right? Would it be too hard to ask online implementation using steam?
(after all I'm sure some doesn't have offline friends)

You should change it in the Steam page, since it's listed as "Multiplayer" instead of "Local multiplayer".

Wait, so you're not supposed to control both characters by yourself?

technically speaking local multiplayer classifies as multiplayer as well. But you're sort of right though :D:

that's one way, with 1 mouse you can control both characters (left and right mouse buttons), but you can also plug in a gamepad and have the second player play with keyboard or vice versa. I haven't tried 2 controllers yet though... yeah yeah why would anyone plug in 2 controllers right? *cough* fighting games *cough* but yeah not everyone does that.

That would be wise decision as there's always at least that one guy who bought it because of that. I never trust the multiplayer mention in steam page as it's up to dev/pub to put them up so they aren't as accurate to what kind of multiplayer it means. Co-optimus or PCGW to look those up.

I actually bought it because of that false info. I remember i played it many years ago on Newgrounds. And now i see it on Steam and i couldn't believe it having a multiplayer. I decided it was special for Steam version, so i bought it.
I was a little disappointed to be honest... I still love the game though, especially neat thingies brought from mobile versions.
But shouldn't you be able to add online multiplayer, Adam? Not sure about doing it in flash, though. I don't force you to do anything, but i really would like to know.
Yes, i understand why it's local co-op, but, for example, me and my friend live in different cities. And i'm sure this problem is well-known around the gamers.

I agree with MrKIll, the steam store page incorrectly advertises 'multiplayer' as a feature along with 'coop'. This should be revised

It still shows Multiplayer which isnt true. You should really change it. Game is great, but thats a bit misleading.

If anyone with a good connection in North America or Western Europe wants to get Marathon (2P) together via streaming (will need to be done once on each account if you want the achievement) please add me.
