This rises the question what role Lynn will play in the next chapter? Will her behaviour start reflecting that of the unhinged Chigara has a more stable Chigara been imprinted onto her creating two contrasting Chigara characters?
Sunrider girls felt incomplete without a Dandere/Deredere. Would be nice to have that new nameless pilot of the Liberty at the end of Icari's route in [RE]turn have her own character in place of Chigara.
Also - pretty much everyone hates the forced Chigara romance but it was needed for the story. Most people kinda like Chigara character so I don't think the developers will just leave her out. My guess is that Chigara will learn to assume control over Lynn's body and help the Sunrider crew which will lead to more trust issues and moral dillemas. At some point the hivemind will be broken and both Chigara and Lynn will become persons so to say. There is a whole topic about - What do you think will happen further in the story. You may want to check it.
The end quote felt more foreboding rather than a yearning. Not mention the screen shakes and the background slowly glowing red. That's not a good sign. Wouldn't be surprised if she comes back as a blood-crazy yandere.
Or maybe it is just Chigara focusing on the thought about Kayto (Imagine the Captain text like some dronning) and the final I"M COMING FOR YOU as ultimate resolve pledge which let her assume control and win. I think thats how I have understood it the first time.
Any idea why this part is not voiced over Magpie? That would have helped a lot for our discussion :)
For now at least there are no plans to change this as the focus is on Starnova.
What year could we expect the fourth instalment? and star nova looks great, but i feel like your are missing a girl. i don't know what type it is but one is definentally missing.
(Coming year 20xx)
Missing a girl... So you are after either a monster girl, cat girl or a trap character in the cast right? :)
posibly one of them, even i don't know what feels like missing, maybe you should add a character that isn't singing, the secret girl after compleating the game 6 times, and the secret girl is a fairy, or a cat girl, or a monster girl, or a trap.
Over the course of Alice's time away from the hivemind, the hivemind was slowly turned to her "hate humanity" angle, probably because there was no balancing/dissenting voice outside of the calm and academic preference that Alpha has for unification over death; Chigara falling in love in a more pure and selfless setting free of the hivemind (thus showing the hivemind the positive aspects of love), gives a contrasting perspective that the mind needs to wrestle over.
Alice's anger and her greater familiarity with the hivemind would give her a very loud voice, so to try and combat that you have Chigara repeating the "CAPTAIN" mantra over and over, reinforcing her own recollection of their love.
It is a bit like when you are trying to remember a phone number while frantically searching for a pen or paper, with loud music playing in the background - most people repeat the number constantly to try and not lose it.
It certainly could be taken, with the continuous repeat and the "I'm coming for you" as Chigara snapping into 15 different kinds of crazy and pursuing Kayto as either a psychologically broken or homicidally driven hive, but my preference is to see the "I'm coming for you" line as her looking to protect her true love and probably overcoming Alice's negativity in the process - after all, given the arrivals in the final cutscene at the Mnemosyne Abyss, Kayto is going to need some big-time help.
Also, beyond the arc of the story series, that would give him a formidable group with which to enforce law and order in the Neutral Zone by using the Prototypes as a peacekeeping and law enforcement group unaffiliated with either PACT or the Alliance, creating a loose federation of independent/neutral worlds (seems like the most obvious geo-political solution to the situation anyway), thus providing a more stable and durable buffer between the two major powers and leading the Galaxy into a period of stability that Alpha desires.
