Support has basically told me to suck it :(
And it sucks because i have barely have them on all this time. total playtime is probably under 50h
I got the same issue, but by testing my station I discorvered something intersting: by changing the channel of the station, above channel 12 (higher rotor frequency) the station is detected and work well (but it's ALWAYS blinking red and have the error message). Below channel 12 it is not detected by steam VR and it's just blinking red. If someone can do something with this information...
By the way higher channel mean higher frequency which mean higher chance to damage the station, my station blinking red was on channel 16 and the one channel 1 is working fine (after about 800h of use), maybe it is not only a coïncidence...
How quickly has Valve responded? Good customer service?
If you have index, yes. I was told mine would be replaced for free...
...until they found out i had no index, but a vive. I was told to eat a ♥♥♥♥
But... what i did.. is did rescue flash again.
After this I took my other 2.0 base station and copied firmware from it. And flashed the red blinking one with firmware from other station. It came alive again. But still with red light. It works okay by the way. Just that red light issue. Maybe some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ transistor starts to die inside..or some other s**t that HTC loves to put inside their hardware for no serious reason...
I also fixed link box myself by removing that stupid fuse they put in there for no reason.. people have their link boxes dying frequently just because of some small static around ..and that fuse burns out right away...my link box works flawlessly half of year already.
They just overcomplicating stuff for customers.
