How can this game still be sold?
It's pretty apparent that its never going to be finished, so how the hell are they allowed to keep selling it? In fact, forget about being "allowed" to, how much integrity do you have to lack to not take the damn thing down yourself? Knowingly selling an unfinished product is something scumbags do.

How can Half Life games still be sold when we'll never get episode 3?
You sound awfully triggered.

Because half and half life 2 are finished games? This is literally the exact opposite of a finished game. I never played half life, but if the second one ends on a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ cliffhanger, that sucks, but its still a finished game. This is not. Note the difference.

HL2 isn't a finished game and it does in fact end on a cliffhanger and since we'll never get episode 3 Valve needs to remove the entire franchise from steam right now!

If it is in fact unfinished like how this game is unfinished, then you better believe it should be removed! Also, thanks for letting me know its actually not finished. Now I know to definitely avoid that franchise.

Please try pouring your heart into a making a game and release it vaguely episodically (I said vaguley since the title doesn't say "part 1/episode 1"). Then when life things happen and you can't complete the remaining episodes see how much sense it makes to pull it from the store.

The game may end on a clifhanger but it was still a strange and enjoyable game. Keep it in the sotre so players like me can try it out.

It makes perfect sense to pull an incomplete product out of a store. Are you high? how about you try thinking about the things you're saying before saying them? What if this was something that wasn't a video game? What if it was a movie in a theatre? "Sorry everyone, due to unforseen circumstances, we could only finish half of the movie. But, it's totally strange and ends on one mother of a cliffhanger, so please pay us money to watch it anyway, even though it seems like we'll never finish it! kthx!"

People who post links of youtube memes as a last ditch, desperate attempt at a rebuttal are the truly embarrassing ones.

Movies and tv shows are released unfinished all the time, tv shows especially have a high rate of cancelation yet still release physical media. Case in point, Twin Peaks which only recently, after 26 years, got a season 3.

Depends on what you considered 'unfinished'. Mechanic wise, it's a decent game that doesn't have tons of glitches or bugs. Story wise, due to its episodic release, it's not yet finished, and probably won't in the near future.

Probably you should inform Konami and ask them to pull MGSV from the store, because it's unfinished due to Kojima's leaving (similar to this case). And at the same time we should burn all the Charles Dickens' The Mystery of Edwin Drood and Da Vinci's Gran Cavallo because those aren't finished, and they will never be finished.

You got what you paid for. Unless that is, the rest of the episodes were promised to come later on for people who bought the game for 15€. However, if the 15€ is just for the first episode or however many came out, then you got what you paid for... if that is not the case, then you have a right to complain, since you didn't actually get what you paid for.

Just like how Half - Life 2 didn't promise to finish the story. HL2 gave you a 8-15 hours campaign, and the 2 episodes after it gave around an equal amount of playtime... that is what you paid for... HL3 will come if Valve wants to do it.. if they don't want to do it, then it won't come. Just because the story isn't finished, it doesn't mean that it's a scam.
