Steam VR kinda dissapointing

I'm just going through the full range of VR tech and just kinda angry with Steam's version. This video has to be utter BS right?

At 01:12 you can see that the girl is in two different positions. So far im thinking PS4 VR is the way to go, which is bloody annoying because I do love my PC.

I aggre with the op that just picking mainstream people ( that ganeplay trailer was so disturbing I only watched 30 seconds of it). But well since everybody knows already what VR is I suppose that commercial was just to the extreme mainstream people.

Yeah if they want to make an advertising campaing to the actual gamers they would pick random people on the street to use the vive, or even real gamers

Vanishing Realms looks entirely cartoonish. Yet a reviewer at Polygon literally ripped the headset off it was so scary

If you do VR correctly it feels very real in ways you wouldn't imagine just seeing a video online.

As gamers, we're used to watch all that through the window of our screens, that creates a barrier. The inmersion of VR breaks that barrier in a way were -still- not used to.

I'm imagining things like the execution scene on BF3's campaign made in VR and it freaks the hell out of me just by imagining it.

I recall some dev telling how he's a chicken when playing a VR shooter and always hides and ducks, while he can go Rambo mode on any regular FPS.

Remember "No Russian"? I probably wouldn't play it in a VR system.

To be honest right now I don't have an amazing advertisement video idea, I admit its so hard to demonstrate. Still I bet if say all of us talking now got in a group, was given £10k and was told to make an advert we would make it better than that.

Actually straight up if I were steam I would ask all you how to advertise, lets face it Steam ain't getting any non-Steam customers and Steam customers are with Steam because Steam cuts the BS.

I take back anything bad I said about the technology itself, I did get a worse impression of it after that advert and learnt that it was just the advert that sucks donkey dkci

Haha yeer I like to how you remind me (a computer to handle one) Devooooo )= Heh naw I just need a better GPU (I hope as I'm too scared to check the specs). Still I am more excited in 10 years time, we all be around a virtual table, eating virtual sandwiches, sipping virtual whiskey and discussing about the new "implant 3 4 1000". Hehe Virtual sex.
