Using the HTC Vive without a room
Hi guys, I am wondering one thing, and it kind of gets difficult to get a proper answer.

HTC Vive uses the sensors for positioning on a room, but what If I a go to a lanparty for example, where there is no room, but a gigantic warehouse, and I want to use the HTC Vive sitting on my place meanwhile a play any simulator with my hotas?

I know that we will be able to do this with Oculus, and thats the idea, but are we limited to be standing up and on a room with HTC Vive? For the price tag, it seems a strong limitation.

I love the feature of the laser tracking, but if is the only way for the HTC to work WoW, that´s pretty dissapointing.

You can do seated VR with a single lighthouse. The Vive can do anything the Oculus can, except go to Oculus Home.

Just take a couple of stands with you to the LAN party. If you are lugging your computer and VR set, a couple a 2 pound speaker stands is a no brainier.

WarMachine, that is a interesting concept, I haven´t found that statement anywere, but it would be awesome to be able to use only one sensor as a camera instead of 2, can you point me to any official press release or something that can confirm that? Before expending 900$ it would be nice to be sure :D

Found out today that the Rift CV1 will come with LEDs on the back of the band to get 360 tracking, don't think the Vive cv has that. But the only issue is if you try to look behind you.
