SteamVR Desktop Theater Mode or Virtual Desktop?

Which one will you choose and why?
Virtual Desktop is £10.99 while I reckon SVR Desktop Theater Mode will be free (not 100% sure)

Is there an option for neither? The concept seems gimmicky to me and VR Desktop at least doesn't support Windows 7.

Virtual Desktop, no contest. The guy put a lot of work into that program, looking forward to trying it out myself come launch day.

Nah, I didn't mean it like that, I'm sorry if it came out that way, but there's a lot more things you can do in virtual desktop currently in my opinion than you can in SteamVR Theater.

Since VR Desktop won't support Win 7. It's Steam VR for me

I'll check SteamVR Theater, and if it won't be enough I'll consider Virtual Desktop, that easy :)

Virtual Desktop hands down unless you are on Windows 7 and cannot run it. The program offers a lot more than just a theatre room, its a complete virtual environment with that added on top and it supports all forms of 3D and 360 video formats, 360 images, music visualizations, support for multiple monitors, virtual environments with workshop support and the list goes on.

The video on Virtual Desktop linked above is a bit long at under 7 minutes and I admit it starts rather slowly but I highly recommend you watch the entire thing if you haven't.

I'll check out SteamVR but if it lacks one of those juicy features of VD, I'll get me some VD. Virtual Desktop, not venereal disease.
