Any news on replacement foam (not VRcover)?

My Italian sweatworks makes an absolute mess of the stock foam and VR Covers. Haven't tried the leather one yet. They're backordered to June 30th.

There is no way I will demo this thing with friends in its current state. It's just gross after even a few minutes no matter how well I wash my face and the foam.

Yeah VR cover (cotton) is washable and that's nice but it's not the solution I'm looking for. I can still soak sweat from the foam itself through the cloth.

I'd prefer a complete replacement and a set of them that just velcro on and poof, one for each player to get their grime on. A tad bit thinner than stock foam and cotton covered with washable would be a wet dream. Then you only have to touch the nose rubber with antiseptic anti-human-meat-excretion goo.

The trend right now is to replace them with a cut out sleep mask. There is also some one selling replacement foams for $10. A rip off if you ask me but he if people want to waste $10 on a 20cent item them I can't blame anyone.

I bought several different colors of the sleep mask, that way when friends and family come over I can assign colors and everyone knows which mask is theirs.

Washing mine seemed to work fine. Just a little soap and warm water. I live in a desert so it dries in like an hour, but you could just use the other till it dries.

Thanks for the tip (edit: sorry, top was a typo) but I am in the NE US which tends to be a temperate subtropical climate and I would not ever EVER recommend anyone put that kind of foam into the oven. So much bad can happen.

That said. That's a pretty cool trick. I just hang it from a fan (and the cloth) for now and fumigate my playspace with untold questionable molecules until it is good to go.
