No audio for showing off Vive to freinds

First off, my setup is this: PC in spare bedroom, and on the other side of a wall is the living room. Which is where I keep my Vive, I have a spot in the wall where I have my cables run through from one room, to the other.

ok, so here's my issue: When I have friends play it, I turn on my TV screen so the people can see what the Vive is showing, I have a display port cable running from my pc's video card, to my receiver, which them sends the video via HDMI to my TV. But I have NO SOUND coming out of my speakers. I looked online and learned that the display port does in fact carry sound. I have sound in the Vive, but that's it. I want it to also come out of my speakers.
How does one accomplish this?

Under settings it gives you the option to mirror the sound going to the Vive. Enable that and select your TV as the mirror.

Thanks, I'll give it a try. One other audio hiccup I have. When the plug in the Vives power cable into the link box, I lose audio on my desktop speakers. It's getting old that every time I'm done playing the Vive, and I go to my PC, I'm audio-less, and I have to go to my living room and unplug the power in the Vive.

Under what settings? I don't see that option anywhere.
While wearing the Vive, on not wearing it, it's not in Steam's settings either, or my computers audio settings......

In the SteamVR application (on your desktop, not in VR), click where it says "SteamVR" to open the drop-down menu. Then click "Settings". In the screen that pops up, click "Audio".

One of the options is the ability to mirror audio to a device of your choosing.
