USB Device Not Working.

Hi All

Everything is working about from a USB error in device manager. And the controllers icons are never green. I went in to settings and saw under usb that one controller is not recognized. So all is fine apart from that and the USB error. But I'm stuck with these problems and do not know how to fix them. I tried fresh win 10 install, And every usb ports, Pairing etc. Can anyone help out. Edit- It might be my mobo chipset although how do I fix it if it is. Mobo is an amd fx sabertooth.

Add it to another Vive problem... Sorry don't have fix for you :( Unless if you didn't try to change USB port then try that.

I did try new ports with no joy. The contollers do connect while connected to my pc via usb.

All of my USB ports are giving me trouble. I'm gonna go buy a pci-e USB card and see if that helps.

Try the oculus readiness test. It'll tell you if you have troublsome usb controllers.

It says no USB problems. I have and did get one controller working but not the other. Under VR USB settings all are working apart from one controller. I'm lost.

This Test seems a bit off. At least for me. It says that my Cpu is not good enough, but i have a i7 6 Core @ 4 GHz. And i score 11 at the Steam VR performance test. Oh and theres a button where i can order a new pc how convenient. :D

Ignore the cpu bull, that part doesn't factor in OC, among other things. Only the usb chipset compatiablity matters. I'll post back when my new usb pci-e card gets here.

I have a usb 3 external hub. Is that what HTC mean? Or do I need a pci-e card. The hub does not do nothing with helping for me.

Three days of use and so far so good! No more controller desyncs, flashing gray screens and I can keep the bluetooth & camera on.

Hi I got the same from amazon uk although am still have one controller and usb problems. I'm clad you got it sorted. Any horror games which are good, or coming out?

Does anyone know where the reset firmware option is from the recent vr beta update? I can't find it.

I just had this same issue, went crazy trying to fix everything and it turns out the cable connections in the headset were just loose... Make sure to check those!!!

you can try this, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hKwRUdfRN2s method 4 was the one that did it for me, but mine was not plugged in to generic usb hub, it was on the motherboard controller, just do the setps in method 4 to all your controllers until you get the one ur vive is on, you will know you got it because it will reinstall and setup the vive devices again, after that happened my usb failure was gone
