Vive controller boot loop

Hi,

One of my Vive controllers has begun acting up. When I try to turn it on it makes the 'boot' sound but the LED is red. After about 5 seconds the LED turns off. If I try to plug it in, it'll constantly repeat this process (booting every 5 seconds) until I unplug it. It's out of warranty unfortunately and new controllers are expensive. Anyone had this issue before or know of a troubleshooting/repair that might be applicable?
