Same issue since I updated my Nvida drivers maybe its issue with them?

I have the same issue since the latest update of viveport (or maybe my Nvidia driver itself). I can turn it on, get it to track, look around the environment. But after 11 seconds the screen goes black and sound stops. Yet my pc lags like the 3d environment is still running.

I dunno what to do.

I did the same but got mine working from what I seen in videos and read it could be an issue with the 3 in 1 hdmi cable. try to use a hdmi cable into the vive and pulg it in see if the head set work if it does then its the 3 in 1 cable you have to contact vive support.

the only thing I can think of if you tried all what you said is to get spare hdmi lead take the hdmi out of the 3in1 cable pulg the spare one in and see what happends.

I've make that, and nothing. I've tried all I've see on internet, forums, reddit, youtube, htc vive official website..

My HTC Vive worked perfectly for two months that I had it, I haven't used it since the end of December, and today I wanted to get back to it, I didn't touch anything, nothing changed, everything is the same, and everything works perfectly, except the black screen of Vive's headset.. I uninstalled and reinstalled SteamVR, Viveport and all the drivers concerned, I uninstalled and reinstalled the Nvidia drivers, I tried with several HDMI cables, I unplugged and reconnected all the cables of the HTC Vive, the computer, the headset .. I'm desperate, really, I don't understand, it does not make sense, it's unfair and I hate that..

I have the same problem now... altho I have the wireless version. It really makes me mad, that hardware developers spit out 3 new headsets every year, but can't make one that actually works. Every single time I want to play, I spent 20 minutes getting stuff ready only to play few hours. Instead of making more helmets they should really focus on making the user experience as best as possible, otherwise the whole VR will die. Hope to get the black screen solved too... cause this really sucks at all levels.
