Vive's Deluxe Audio Strap hurts after a while; any fixes?
I was really fond of the new headstrap at first. The built-in audio is wonderfully convenient, the way it tightens is so much easier than the previous system, and the HMD feels more secure. Thing is, after about an hour or two, the front of the Vive really starts to hurt my head. I didn't have this issue with the old headstrap. Loosening the knob on the back doesn't yeild any relief and I've tried readjusting the top strap, but that doesn't help either. Has anyone else had this?

I really wish HTC or LG would release a new HMD model. Something built like PSVR.

I spoke with a person who converted one of his welding helmets to hold the vive unit.

Psvr may be confortable but it is totally useless for fast roomscale play. Personally i hope vive never uses that system.

And no I never had that problem. I love the deluxe strap. It never hurt my head

They hurt me and I've found a way to adjust them better. First, release the strap, then adjust the screw by holding the headset gently against your face, but do not leave them too tight. And finally, adjust the tape with the velcro.

I'll try that, Libre. Thanks!

I know i'm late but in the event anyone else finds this thread through Google as I did, you can wear a shirt over your head and then put the headset on, using the shirt as extra padding where the headset sits on your forehead (that's where I was feeling pain at least). I probably look like a lunatic but honestly it's helped way more than I expected.
