Any chance to see a drop? since they are really expensive with 120€ for 1 piece...

especially if u need 3 for games like VRChat

They're getting phased out in favour of a new edition of the trackers that uses Valves 2.0 tracking system (which the current trackers will not be compatible with). The updated 2.0 tracking system will come with the Pro as standard (as will all future headsets) but it wont work with the current trackers (hence their inevitable replacement).

The reason for this boils down to cheaper production and better tracking in the long term.

But it might not be all doom and gloom. I suspect HTC "might" start selling off what is left of the current trackers cheaply soon enough (at least once the Pro goes live anyway) OR you might be able to grab a load cheaply for next to nothing on e-bay.

Eitherway...sucks but at least it means they wont be £100 per tracker in the future. Rumour is they are targetting £40 a tracker (which is reasonable-ish) but will be useless to anyone with the current Vive :(

I know. Kinda sucks but it's a limitation of the tech :/ The Vive pro headset is backwards compatible with the current Vive lighthouse trackers, as will be the knuckles controllers but from other sources I have read, it just wasnt possible with the trackers due to the desired reduced price to further adoption HTC wanted to target.

its okay, i just wasted 400€ for 3 trackers, cause they dont ship to freeking germany so i need a 3rd party service and the kinect doesnt work, so yeah
