How to mirror the vive display onto a monitor from my laptop?
So I've got a Predator laptop that has one hdmi port and I've been playing vr on it for a while now but its hard when playing with friends and they have to look at the tiny laptop screen instead of a big tv or monitor. I want to be able to run the vive from my laptop but also display it onto a tv or monitor. Can I do this with an hdmi splitter or will that only display either laptop and vive, or laptop and monitor? If I can find way to display both vive and monitor that would be fine too. Please help.

I am wandering if it's able to use a USB to HDMI adaptor. Does someone use this solution? It is a cheap solution, but I've do not test it by myself.

As I use a secondary monitor connected to the Intel's main board graphics and I can see there the mirroring window, I assume the HDMI dongle will work.

If you have a Steam Link you can connect it to your laptop after you have started SteamVR on it, and it will go into a spectate mode and show what is displayed in the headset.

The Link device itself is not sold anymore, but you can turn a Raspberry Pi or an Android device into a Link now, have not tried the VR spectator mode with those yet though.
