Mini DP not working?
So I got a USB Type-C to Mini DP today and am unable to make it work. I have run VR successfully with hdmi for over a year but this wont work. Ive tried restarting and such but it seems like it wont recognize the cable. I have power, usb, and usb type C running to the link box, and hdmi, usb, and power running from the box to the headset (the standard three cables attached to the headset). Should any of that be unplugged or am I missing something? Can the mini display port even work coming from the USB type-C? Please help me figure this out.

By the way the error im getting in steam VR is "LAPTOP: HEADSET DISPLAY NOT CONNECTED. Make sure your video cables are securely connected to your laptop. Laptops may require special setup to work with VR."

USB-C is just the connector, your adapter likely only works in USB-C ports that have the alternate DisplayPort mode[www.displayport.org] enabled, not just any random USB-C port. What laptop are you trying to use this with?

The Acer Predator Helios 300 (I think that’s the full name) it only has one hdmi so I figured by using a display port I could save the hdmi to display the Vr view to a TV
