Performance with Gtx 1060 3GB?

Hey guys I'm wondering if I should buy HTC Vive next week on Black Friday.
Is any1 using 1060 3GB variant and can say some words on available games and any FPS issues?
I did get a score of 7.5 on Steam VR test, with frames under 90fps - 0.
I'm wondering mostly for coming Fallout 4 VR, do we need to run games on high settings, or is it fine on VR to play lower settings/textures but HTC Vive resolution?

you can also run VRMark Demo on steam . At the end you can compare with actual standards and see where you are.

6510 score, it doesn't seems to look bad.
It was run without any boost to cpu/gpu.

I have an i7 with a 1070, but I configured my son's pc and it's almost identical to yours. I tested my Vive with my son's pc and it worked. But... it's not the same. No supersampling and there is a degradation on every aspect of the image. For example, the basket ball at Rec Room was not spheric, it was polygonal. Could I play and enjoy the Vive? Sure. Anyway, it was about six months ago, and many improvements appeared in the meantime. Now everything runs better. Enjoy the Vive and welcome!

Yeah, I thought on this seems 1060 will sucks for stable 90fps on games with a better sampling, I'm thinking to buy gtx 1070ti or 1080 but not sure yet, which is better in long term.

Go with a custom pcb 1080. It will overclock better.

A 1080 ti requires a good power supply and I'm not sure has one one coming from a 1060.

I've ordered GTX 1080, I think that should be enought for most of games with around 1.5 supersampling.

I don't even use SS or AA when I play multiplayer games. A 1080 should last a while and will even make VR playable. Make sure you have a good power supply or else you will have problems.

I have a GTX 1060 3 GB as well, and even though I can get upwards of 120 FPS on Steam’s VR performance test, I’m still a bit skeptical about its VR capabilities.
