Ajusting the Deluxe Audio Strap?
Hello fellow Vive users. I recently received my Deluxe Audio Strap and after attaching it to the headset and trying it out, I can say I really like it, it's definetely more comfortable than the default elastic strap. However, I still has the same issue than the previous one: when looking down too much, the headset moves on my head, even if I tighten ot a lot with the knob, and the image becomes blurry. I think this has to do with the upper strap, with the velcro, which I have an hard time trying to find a perfect fit with. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to set it loose or to draw it more. Any advice? How did you guys ajust it?

I tightened my upper (over top of head) strap a bit and always make sure I've got the weight of the headset at the back, so it's balanced more toward the rear or top of my head. I like to really snug down the back to cradle the back of my head first, then tighten up the adjuster. No matter how you slice it, the HMD has inertia and will slip a bit on your head with fast motion, but the closer you can get the centre of gravity to centre of your head, the less effect it will have.

did the same just like vrmaniac. I also removed the audio and am using a g933 for convenience so I don't fiddle with my mic settings.

Do you guys expirience low audio? This is one reason why i took down the earpieces. I read disabling "enable gain reduction on vive hdmi audio" fixes the low volume issue i was expiriencing. I think i'm going deaf. LOL! Can you guys try it? I don't want to mess with my headset anymore since its perfect.

NVM. answered my own question. So appearantly, I put my earpieces back on the delux audiostrap. I'm using them. If you are expiriencing low volume, remove the checkmark "enable gain reduction on vive hdmi audio". The volume increase is drastic! I would say 100 percent increase in audio loudness. Very loud!

One last thing, I added the velcro piece at the back center and attached the cable to it. I had it dangling on the side at first but it kept pulling on one side and i ended up with a lob sided head. Use the velcro to center the cable at the back, big difference.

+1 to this. My wife found it in the box and I didn't even realize it was there. Makes a world of difference.

Also, where's that gain reduction checkbox - steamVR setting menu?

its in settings->audio->at the bottom. Makes the audio way way louder. Much needed adjustment. I keep my volume at 30% in volume drawbar.

ranXerox, I'm having the same low volume issue on my deluxe headphones :( I have to play all my games with the volume bar at 100% and it's still not loud enough... How did you fix and raised the volume?

Open up steamvr. In the pop up window, click on steamvr->settings->audio-> look at the bottom for a checkmark. Remove it.

Don't forget to use the Velcro straps and strap the line to the back. This helps keep the head unit balanced on your head.

Cool I will give that a try
