ETA On Linux Support?

The greenlight campaign listed Linux support, but the store page here only shows Windows. When will the game come out on Linux?

Both Oculus and Steam have dropped linux support for VR as they require direct driver access and windows is the only OS that they can access. We may add linux as tier 2 support after the initial release, but without support from the HMD manufacturers, it's out of our hands for release.

I see. Why was it promised in the greenlight campaign then?

At the time of the campaign, those SDKs still included support for Linux. We may still offer a standard view version for Linux, but it will follow the initial release.
