Space Beast Terror Fright

Proper Resolution Options
Even with downsample at zero, the game is clearly not running at native resolution (1080p), running games at non-native resolutions is pretty nauseating for some people

That seems strange, as the game is currently setup to only run at native resolution.

The downsampling is there because the game is fill rate bound on most GPUs (decreasing the number of pixel to draw significantly increase performance) but also because I personally dislike anything other than native resolution because it blurs the image. Hence the blocky but at least still crisp downsampling. Also it looks a bit like Doom when it is severely downsampled, and that has to be good... :)

Also the text can get pretty small in certain cases, and running that at lower than native is hard to read.

I'm not opposed to adding "proper" resolution options if there is great demand for it, but I am worried about the legibility of the small fonts.

Is the gun model an actual model or a sprite? it's possible I'm just getting confused by aliasing along it's edge. I think it was by default running at too high a brightness for my monitor, after lowering it its easier to read. I like the aesthetic of Doom-mode downsampling, but I wouldn't play the game like that all the time a it adds an extra layer of difficulty to the game. If you wanted to support that style of play, maybe a set of low detail, cleaner textures? Obviously that's a pretty low priority though. I am loving the game by the way, despite having just posted a bunch of stuff I'm having issues with :P
