Report a translation problem
The downsampling is there because the game is fill rate bound on most GPUs (decreasing the number of pixel to draw significantly increase performance) but also because I personally dislike anything other than native resolution because it blurs the image. Hence the blocky but at least still crisp downsampling. Also it looks a bit like Doom when it is severely downsampled, and that has to be good... :)
Also the text can get pretty small in certain cases, and running that at lower than native is hard to read.
I'm not opposed to adding "proper" resolution options if there is great demand for it, but I am worried about the legibility of the small fonts.
